All walks are lead by a leader who will set the pace of the group and remain in front - walkers are to keep with the group and stay between the leader and the "Tail-end Charlie". Walkers sign on at the beginning of each walk, and sign off at the completion - our way of accounting for all walkers.
All walkers meet at the Mangawhai Recreation Centre which is adjacent to Mangawhai Beach School, Insley Street, Mangawhai Village.
Walks have limited numbers - please do not be disappointed if your first choice is not available; we will contact you and suggest alternative walks.
Carpooling will be organised for some of the walks and information about what to bring will be mailed to you. All walkers need suitable walking shoes or boots, hat, jacket, water and lunch. Not all walks have toilet facilities. Toilets are available at the Recreation Centre.

Once you have registered you will be sent more information and a list of requirements for each walk.
Art Trail:
You are invited to follow the Mangawhai Art Trail after you have completed your day's walk. The trail has been especially designed for this Walking Weekend. Make the most of this once a year opportunity to view local artists in their studios. Pick up the $3 trail map at the Registration Centre after 11am on Saturday or book on the entry form.
