1 What happens if the walk I booked is full?
Walks have limited numbers so please register a second choice. If neither is available you will be contacted.

2. What footwear is required?
Unless stated sneakers or good well-worn-in boots are required.

3. What happens if it is wet?
We do not want to cancel so every effort will be made to find an alternative.

4. Why should I book for breakfast?
If you do not book for breakfast you will miss the cheapest and most scrumptious breakfast of all time.

5. Why do I need to fill in the evaluation form?
We ask everyone to do this after each walk. Statistics can only be collated if everyone fills them out. The guides read them and the organiser may make changes as suggested. The comments have helped us enormously over the years.

6. Where do we meet?
Except for the Troubadour Trail and the Thursday walk all walks depart from the Mangawhai Beach School, Insley Street.

7. Why can’t I join a walk en route rather that having to go into Mangawhai?
This is a Mangawhai event so we like everyone to come to Mangawhai. There, your names are checked, the guide talks of the walk and reads all the risks to each of you, then everyone signs the form to say they know of the risks. Then all can depart together having already become a friendly group, all knowing the same things.

8. Where can I stay for the weekend in Mangawhai?
Mangawhai has a load of accommodation. You will be surprised. Please refer to this web page under Links or www.mangawhai.co.nz or www.magicalmangawhai.co.nz  You will also find on these web pages other things to do in Mangawhai

9. Is there an ATM?
Yes there is at the Heads shops by the Chemist Shop. Please bring cash to Mangawhai as the shops quickly run out so you may be refused. Sometimes the ATM breaks down or runs out of money. For the Food and Wine event some stalls have fpost but we request you do not ask for cash at the shops.

10. What do I bring?
On registration you will be sent your name tag and a list of special things for your individual walk. Time is always allowed for lunch.

11. Can I pay on line?
Yes. You can register and pay on line. We do not have full internet banking so we ask that if you are not an ASB customer that you pay ahead of emailing your details as it takes several days for your money to show on the account. Please use your full name when entering the money. Email individual entry forms with total money filled in on each form. Bank account – 1230 94 0 175453 00
